Labs  

  • Dysphagia, vomiting, foreign body in the oesophagus,  perforation od the oesophagus (traumatic, iatrogenic).                                                                    
  • Oesophagostenosis – oesophageal  cancer, functional impairments, inflammatory conditions                                                                       
  • Early diagnosis of tumours of the upper alimentary tract                                                                                         
  • Bleeding from the upper  alimentary tract: ulcerative disease, cancer, iatrogenic injury  
  • Diseases of the stomach and the duodenum: role of  X-ray and endoscopy  in diagnostics; treatment of complications in ulcerative disease – perforation, ulcer bleeding, gastric carcinoma, polyps, inflammatory conditions, haemorrhagic gastritis.              
  • Diseases of the liver; injuries of the liver                                                                    
  • Acute pancreatitis

1. Theoretical knowledge is compulsory for the hospital class
2. Medical scrubs or a white coat and hospital footwear is compulsory. Leaving of the Hospital in medical clothes is forbidden.
3. Personal belongings (e.g. backpacks, outdoor clothes) must be left in the cloakroom.
